【摘要】:ThispartofBS5950givesrecommendationsforthedesignofstructuralsteelworkinbuildingsandalliedstructuresusingcoldformedsections.Itisprimarilyintendedforsteelsectionsofthicknessupto8mm.RequirementsformaterialsandconstructionaregiveninBS5950-7.Sectionsmaybeeitheropenorclosedandshouldbemadeupofflatelementsboundedeitherbyfreeedgesorbybendswithincludedanglesnotexceeding135°andinternalradiinotexceeding5twheretisthematerialthickness.Closedsectionsmaybemadeeither:i)byjoiningtogethertwopreviouslyformedopensectionsbycontinuouswelding;ii)fromasingleflatstrip,byformingthecornerstomakeabox,andcontinuouslyweldingthelongitudinaljoint.WeldedcoldformedhollowsectionsconformingtoBSEN10219arenotcoveredbythispartofBS5950.NOTEColdformedproductsconformingtoBSEN10219arethesubjectofamendmentstoBS5950-1and-2whichareinpreparation.
