【摘要】:Thisstandarddescribesamethodforthedeterminationofthegranularityofphotographicfilmsbyscanningwithasuitablemicrodensitometer.Continuous-toneblack-and-whiteandcolormaterialscoatedonatransmittingsupportmaybemeasuredbytheproceduresdescribed.Theconceptofgranularityappliestobothreflectingandtransmittingmaterials,andtechniquesthatarebasicallysimilartothosedescribedinthisdocumentcanbeusedtoevaluatereflectionmaterials.However,thisdocumentisconcernedonlywithsamplescoatedontransmittingsupports.AsnotedintheForeword,twoothertypesofgranularitymeasurementsarenottreatedinthisdocument.First,nospecificationsaregivenformeasuringfilmsthathaveemulsioncoatedonbothsidesofthesupport.Second,thisdocumentdoesnottreatthemeasurementoftheWiener(or“power”)spectrum.
