【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtomeasureshrinkagefrommoldcavitytomoldeddimensionsofthermoplasticswhenmoldedbycompressionorinjectionprocesseswithspecifiedprocessconditions.Thistestmethodcoversinitialshrinkagemeasurements.Themethodalsoaccommodatesshrinkageat24and48h,whichmaybecriticalforsomematerials.Thismethodwillgivecomparabledatabasedonstandardspecimensandcannotpredictabsolutevaluesinactualmoldedpartswithvaryingflowpaths,wallthicknesses,pressuregradientsandprocessconditions.Differencesinmoldshrinkagemayalsobeobservedbetweenthethreespecimengeometriesdescribedinthistestmethod.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaregivenforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-ThistestmethodistechnicallyidenticaltoISO294-4whereTypeD2specimensareusedexceptthatpressuretransducersareanoptioninthistestmethodandrequiredinISO294-4.
