【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletoradiationmetersandmonitorsdesignedforthedirectmeasurementorthedirectdetectionofsurfacecontaminationbyalphaand/orbetaradiationemittingnuclidesandwhichcompriseatleast:-adetectionassembly(comprisingtextdeletedcountertube,scintillationdetectororsemiconductordetector,etc),whichmaybeconnectedeitherrigidlyorbymeansofaflexiblecableorincorporatedintoasingleassembly.-ameasurementassembly.Somemetersandmonitorsconsistofdetectionassembliesandmeasurementassemblieswhereitispossibletoseparatethedetectorassemblyandusealternativedetectionassemblies.Conformitywiththestandardcaneitherbeachievedby:Allcombinationsofthedetectionassemblyandthemeasurementassemblyconformingtotherequirementsofthisstandard.orThedetectionassemblyandthemeasurementassemblyseparatelyconformingtotherelevantpartsofthisstandardinisolation.NOTETheuseofthelattercriteriaverifiesconformancewiththisstandardbutdoesnotinferthatcalibrationofaparticularcombinationofinstrumentsisinterchangeablewithanyothercombination.Theuseofthelattercriteriacouldallowapurchasertousecombinationsofassembliesfromdifferentmanufacturerswithconfidence.Thestandardisapplicableto:-alphasurfacecontaminationmeters;-alphasurfacecontaminationmonitors;-betasurfacecontaminationmeters;-betasurfacecontaminationmonitors;-alpha/betasurfacecontaminationmeters;-alpha/betasurfacecontaminationmonitors.Thelattertwoareequipmentcapableofdeterminingalphaandbetacontaminationsimultaneouslyanddisplayingthemeasurementofeither:-Alpha(beta,alpha/beta)surfacecontaminationmeterAnassemblyincludingoneormoreradiationdetectorsandassociatedassembliesorbasicfunctionunits,designedtomeasurealpha(beta,alpha/beta)surfaceemissionrateassociatedwiththecontaminationofthesurfaceunderexamination.-Alpha(beta,alpha/beta)surfacecontaminationmonitor.Thisstandardisalsoapplicabletospecialpurposeassembliesandtoassembliesspecificallydesignedforasurfaceofaparticularnature.However,someoftherequirementsmayneedtobeamendedorsupplementedaccordingtotheparticularrequirementsapplicabletosuchassemblies.Ifanassemblyhasbeendesignedtocarryoutcombinedfunctions,itmustcomplywiththerequirementspertainingtothesedifferentfunctions.If,ontheotherhand,ithasbeendesignedtoperformonefunction,and,inaddition,itisalsocapableofcarryingoutotherfunctions,thenitmustcomplywiththerequirementsforthefirstfunction,anditwouldbedesirableforittocomplywithrequirementspertainingtotheothers.ThisstandardisnotapplicabletoradiationmonitorsormetersdesignedtomeasureordetectbetaparticleswithEmax<60keV.Theobjectofthisstandardistolaydownstandardrequirementsandtogiveexamplesofacceptablemethods,andalsotospecifygeneralcharacteristics,generaltestconditions,radiationcharacteristics,electricalsafety,environmentalcharacteristics,andtherequirementsoftheidentificationcertificateforalpha,betaandalpha-betacontaminationmetersandmonitors.
