【摘要】:ThescopeofthisInternationalStandardistodefinetheperformanceofinstalledmonitorsusedforthedetectionofgammaandneutronradiationemitterscontainedinobjects/containersorvehicles,generalcharacteristics,mechanicalcharacteristics,environmentalrequirements,testproceduresanddocumentation.Thisstandardisapplicabletoinstalledmonitorsdesignedtodetectspecialnuclearandotherradioactivematerialsbytheiremittedgammaand/orneutronradiation.Theyareusedtomonitorvehicles,cargocontainers,people,orpackagesandaretypicallylocatedatnationalandinternationalborders,butmaybeusedatanylocationwherethereisaneedforthistypeofmonitoring.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytohand-heldmonitors.Informationregardingthedetectionofspecialnuclearmaterial(SNM)iscontainedinAnnexA.Thisstandardprovidesthepurchaserwithinformationthatmaybeusedtodeterminetheperformanceofthemonitorindetectingthepresenceofradioactivesources.Thisstandarddoesnotprovidethedataneededtodeterminetheperformanceofthemonitorinmeasuringthequantityoftheradioactivematerial.Inthisstandard,thetermradioactivematerialincludesbothspecialnuclearandradioactivematerialunlessotherwisespecificallynoted.Theradioactivematerialmaybetransportedbyvehicle,carriedbyperson,orconcealedinacargocontainerorinapackagemovedbyconveyorbelt,suchasinternationalmailparcels.Conformancewiththerequirementsofthisstandarddoesnotguaranteethataradioactivesourcewillalwaysbediscovered.Theselectionofthelocationandtheconfigurationofthemonitoringsystemoneachsiteneedstobeoptimisedtoachievethebestperformance,however,thisisoutsidethescopeofthisstandard.
